Cremeria Vienna is a leading chain of ice-cream parlours, which has been delighting sweet-toothed customers with its artisan-homemade ice-cream since it began in Italy in the 1980s. Cremeria Vienna in the UK:
The pilot UK Cremeria Vanilla franchise, which opened in the Spires Shopping Centre, Barnet, London, in May 2009, has been an enormous success. Within days it became a local reference point for customers. The impact was immediate. There are regular daily customers and regular families that buy take-away boxes for the weekend, parties and special events.
In its first six months, the shop sold over 7,000kg of ice cream, in 25 different flavours, all handmade on-site.
Take-away boxes represent 20 per cent of total sales. Take-away boxes are repeat purchases from clients who have a high fidelity.
The shop is run by a manager and two assistants – none of whom had previous experience in making ice-cream. The franchise is owned and run by Antonio and Alessandra, who have a clear mission: to make the freshest and tastiest ice-cream in the UK by delivering value to clients, employees and future franchisees.
